Homeowners are continually faced with the seemingly impossible task of choosing a good contractor when repairs are needed or projects are being planned. Just the thought of calling a plumber or electrician for a simple job makes some break out in a cold sweet or feel like they are at Las Vegas throwing the dice for a $1000 bet. These feeling are not unjustified. Many homeowners have been taken advantage of because they lack knowledge of the construction trade or of their inability or willingness to negotiate a “deal”. This is particularly true of the elderly, single mothers, or anyone that is perceived as weak or being an easy sale.
